Who We Are
The Friends of the Canton Public Library is a group of interested citizens dedicated to supporting and enhancing library services in Canton. As a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, the Friends' goals are to:- Build a membership of citizens who support the Library
- Encourage the use of library services
- Spotlight the value of the Library in the life of our community
- Expand the resources of the Library through fundraising
- Sponsor programs and cultural activities for children and adults
- The Museum Pass Program
- The Open Book Coffeehouse
- OWL video conferencing equipment
- Maker Space Equipment (3D Printer, etc.)
- The Electronic Message Board (share)
- Public Performance Licenses to show Films
- Lobby Display Cases
- The Reading Nook
- Gaming Systems
- The "Best Friends" statuary
- ...and much more
How to Join
Membership is open to individuals, families, businesses and organizations interested in promoting the services, programs, and collections of the Canton Public Library. Membership forms are available at the Canton Library's adult and children's circulation desks or join online.Current Friends Leadership
