Canton Reads 2023

Books Unite Us. Censorship Divides Us.

Canton Reads is an annual celebration of the joy of reading sponsored by the Canton Public Library, which encourages the community to come together through the reading and discussion of a common book.

Canton Reads 2023 will include discussions and events inspired by "Reading Lolita in Tehran" by Azar Nafisi.

Azar Nafisi’s luminous masterwork gives us a rare glimpse into women’s lives in revolutionary Iran. Reading Lolita in Tehran is a work of great passion and poetic beauty, a remarkable exploration of resilience in the face of tyranny, and a celebration of the liberating power of literature.
